How To Prepare Categories For Integration Setup
The first step here is to locate the category of which you want to set this integration, naming the parent category "Walmart Marketplace Integration" would be a good starting point so its clear what the category is. To set the integration imply click the category and the menu below will be shown.
With the integrations simply click into the integrations and select Walmart Marketplace from the list as shown below.
We would advise creating a category structure exclusively for the product you are planning to send to Walmart Marketplace, with this sorting it will be easier within Platform to add products to the relevant categories. Details Needed To Enable Integration
Before the integration has been properly enabled you must enter the following details listed below. These details will be available from your Walmart Marketplace account and must match this within the settings.
- Consumer ID
- Client ID
- Client Secret
Once these details have been added, simply save the integration and this will be saved. There are additional settings that can be enabled, we have detailed the meaning behind each one in the below table.
Setting Option | Setting Option | Description |
Is Sandbox Enabled | Toggle | This option should be enabled if the integration needs to be tested first, we suggest this used before properly enabling this integration as this ensures the products will pass to the Walmart Marketplace. |
Push Inventory Enabled | Toggle | This toggle should be enabled if you require the Walmart Marketplace to update stock levels taken from the Production Inventory. |
Email Errors To | Input Field | This input field should have an email added as this will notify that email account whenever any errors can be found within this integration and any products that will not be accepted into the Walmart Marketplace domain. |
Category Strategy | Dropdown | The option if needed to be selected here will be the "Standard" category strategy, the other option should only ever be used for specific Disney cases. |
| Feed Strategy | Dropdown | Same as the feed strategy if needed this should be the "Standard" feed strategy option and the other option is again specific to Disney. |
Category Mapping | Input Field | Category mapping needs to be set to ensure the sub categories for Walmart Marketplace are filled in. To do so simply set the category name from the platform and map it to the sub categories. Each row of this mapping must include the Platform name and map to each sub category so "PlATFORMNAME->WALMARTCATEGORYNAME" as an example. This must be included for every row of subcategories being used here. |
