Product Integration | Akeneo

Introduction

This article has been written to aide with setting up the Kornit X Product integration with the Akeneo platform. This This type of integration allows you to send products from your Akeneo account into our platform connected via the advanced settings of your product categories. Akeneo have detailed how to use this import extensively in the following technical doc located here
Please note that "Import only" in the title refers to products being exported from a system into our platform, in this case Akeneo
Please note that for this integration you can either target multiple product owners and suppliers or can be set to specifically target products in the category with a matching owner or supplier company, details on how to specify this are detailed within this article.
An existing account with Akeneo will be needed to enable this integration, without this the integration is not going to work, To enquire with using Akeneo and to be shown a demo of their system, please refer to the following link - Click Here

How To Prepare Categories For Integration Setup

The first step here is to locate the category of which you want to set this integration, naming the parent category "Akeneo Integration" would be a good starting point so its clear what the category is. To set the integration imply click the category and the menu below will be shown.

With the integrations simply click into the integrations and select Akeneo from the list as shown below.

We would advise creating a category structure exclusively for the product you are planning to send to Akeneo, with this sorting it will be easier within Platform to add products to the relevant categories. For more information on perfect category management within the Kornit X platform please refer to this article - Click Here
