Every Seller Portal can be linked to a “Parent Product Category” which should be a category ID within the platform system which contains categories of blanks to be used on the live system. Product in the “Parent Product Category” will not load, the system will load categories under this inside the product creator and will show any categories or blank products under that.
The icons that show in this section can be added to the categories in the main platform and are subject to a 4 hour cache time.
The pricing works on the currency of the logged in users primary company. This should be set to a currency that is present on the blank products in a TRADE and RRP row where the “Seller” is set to the Admin Company / Organisation ID in the platform that owns the seller portal and network.
The portal can support multiple currencies but the user can only work in a single currency.
The Sellers Portal supports dynamic pricing such as
These should be set in the same way as above with the Organisation as the seller and when triggered these will show in a pricing breakdown when the user sets their retail price.
Seller Portal supports the TRADE and RRP prices increasing with print area pricing.
Seller Portal supports the display of variant trade price additions but these are for information only. The product cannot have unique RRP set per variant but this information allows users a clear understanding of trade prices to make an informed decision on retail price.
Seller Portal supports products designed in 2D only but does support 3D preview.
Seller Portal supports the displaying of variant TRADE pricing, this is for information only, Seller Portal saves 1 retail price but the display of variant prices allows users to make an informed choice knowing any variation in trade prices.
TRADE PRICING AND STRATEGIES
An important part of the pricing and reporting is setting accurate trade prices on orders processed through Seller Portal and its connected Sales Channels, this is achieved through a few important mechanisms
Shopify connections installed through seller portal set the currency on the sales channel as the same as the users primary company, this is to ensure all reporting and trade prices are in the correct currency. This does not effect pricing passed to Shopify as that is currency independent.
All Sales Channels set up as part of Seller Portal get "Calculate Pricing (V2)" and a specific set of pricing rules applied to it. It is this combination that allows the order to set trade pricing based on the portals organisation and currencies correctly and also takes into account print area, variant pricing etc.
Shipping Prices can be set on orders using shipping maps.
This combination allows orders to get accurate trade pricing for charging and invoicing.
