There are 2  advanced company settings in the "Incoming Orders / SKU Mapping" section on a retailer company in OMS:

- Restrict to Retailer Categories

- Restrict to Supplier Owned

The first of these allows for the situation where the same SKU may be in the system against multiple products on the same supplier and means that as long as the retailer only has access to one of them in their categories then it will always be correctly allocated. This is used in situations where a retailer may have a custom version of a product but the SKU needs to be the same for the supplier to produce.

The second of these means that order items can only map to products owned by the same person that supplies them, where the owner_company_ref_id and the supplier_company_ref_id on the product are the same
