Kornitˣ | Workflow Hardware

The following articles has been created to show the recommended hardware we recommend when using the Kornitˣ Workflow.

Label Printer - For Picking Station
Labels should ideally be heat resistant, as they will be exposed to heat presses and drying processes. There are many suitable printers available, and the right choice will depend on the type of labels you select. Heat-resistant labels require thermal transfer printers, which have a higher upfront cost but offer the production benefits outlined earlier in this article.

It is important to ensure that the labels and printer you choose are compatible. Be sure to consider factors such as maximum media width and core diameter. The image and links below are provided as examples of suitable products you can purchase.

Heat Resistant Barcode Labels
Labels should ideally be heat resistant, as they will be exposed to heat presses and drying on Kornit machines. This ensures the labels remain securely in place throughout all production processes. A supplier such as the one below can provide suitable options tailored to the specific label printer you choose.

Barcode Scanners - For All Stations
The scanner below is one we have used previously. As long as your barcode readers support CODABAR, you should not encounter any issues. That said, some models are easier to use and offer better responsiveness than others.

PC Monitor - For All Stations
A PC monitor will be installed at each station to guide the operator through the current task and direct them to the next step in the process.

Laser Printer - For Packing Station
Recommended for printing Integrated Dispatch Paperwork. Laser printers can be sourced relatively inexpensively if you do not already have one. They are recommended due to their faster print speeds and the greater cost efficiency of toner compared to inkjet printers.
