As standard, artwork files generated by our system do not have an embedded ICC colour profile - this is usually handled by the RIP software if printing in CMYK.
However, if you are using either a JPG, TIFF or PDF we offer the ability to specify an ICC colour profile to control the colour mode conversion from RGB to CMYK.
Critical: This is not possible in PNG format, as PNGs do not support CMYK. Due to how ICC profiles work, it is necessary to set two separate profiles. The RGB profile tells the system how to convert the standard RGB artwork into the intermediate profile connection space (PCS) and the CMYK profile tells the system how to convert from PCS to CMYK.
The following profiles are available:
RGB = AllColorsRGB V4 G10 / ColorSync sRGB / Wide Gamut RGB
CMYK = Coated FOGRA39 / Pure v2.2
This is done upon request by contacting the support desk via support@custom-gateway.com
Important Note: The colours in the resulting CMYK image might not be an exact match for the colours in the original RGB image. Many factors affect how colours are displayed, including whether or not your monitor is calibrated correctly. Some colours cannot be represented in both colour spaces.
