How to use item id and print-job bar-codes together in the Scan points
In some cases you may need to use products with Incorporated bar-code and products that rely on using the bar-code on the job sheet.
A Job sheet uses the 'item id' as the bar-code and a bar-code Incorporated in to artwork uses the 'Print job id'.
For this to work the setting 'Production / Scan Points (v1) Allow Barcode Prefixes' must be enabled on both the supplier and the print job owner companies. If you users Primary company is not the supplier company it must be enabled on it as well.
This can be found on the companies under 'Advanced Settings'.
This will then Add a prefix to the 'Print job id' bar-code of 02 which tell the scan point that this is a 'Print job id' and not an 'item id'.
This allows both bar-code types to be processed in the same way.
