Fullfilers | Collection Points

Introduction

Collection Points is a feature that has been added to Fulfiller companies which can be used by a fulfiller to set multiple different collection Points for orders to be dispatched to. This is particularly useful for those customers with in person stores throughout the globe which can ship orders to nearby customers of said areas to collect orders.
Collection Points can be added individually per store by setting the store address, timezones and opening times throughout a 7 day week. The features will be detailed throughout this article.

How To Set Collection Points Against A Fulfiller Company?

In order to set Collection Points against your fulfiller company please head to "Settings > Companies".

Please note that Collection Points can ONLY be set against Fulfiller type companies.
Within the Companies please filter your search to only show fulfiller companies and select your chosen fulfiller.

Head to the "Advanced" menu and within this you will see "Collection Points" as a sub folder.

Here you can press the "+ Collection Point" button and you can now set the External Ref and Name.

Click to expand the menu with the arrow and more advanced details can be added which are detailed within the next section of this article

Once a Collection Point has been added and saved the Kornit X Platform will generate a specified ID.

Features Of Collection Points

There are multiple features that can be set and they will be detailed below.
  1. Name - The name can be set for the collection point, perhaps a collection point in Bristol would be "Collect Bristol BA11" while one in Austin, Texas could be "Collect Austin TX" for example.
  2. External Ref - This is the reference users can search by, this should be something that references that specific collection point.
  3. Address Line 1 to 3 - The address lines for lines 1 to 3 can be set, by a minimum at least one address line should be filled in.
  4. Address Town/City - This needs to be the town or city in relation to the collection point address.
  5. Address Region/State - This needs to be the region or state in relation to the collection point address.
  6. Address Postcode - This needs to be the specific postcode or zip code in relation to the collection point address.
  7. Address Country Code - A dropdown that users can use to select the country of origin for the collection point. Please note this will list the country followed by the alpha-2 digit country code.
  8. Telephone Number - This needs to be the telephone number that relates to the address detailed for the collection point.
  9. Location - The location must be the GPS longitude and latitude location that relates to the exact location of the collection point.
  10. Timezone - The Timezone of the collection point can be set with the collection point, this will load as UTC by default but this can easily be changed with the dropdown containing all world time zones.
  11. Monday to Sunday Opening - The final options that need to be set are the exact opening from and to times for every weekday. This needs to be set in the 00:00:00 clock so for an 8.00 am opening you would have 08:00:00 and a 6.30 pm close would need to be 18:30:00. What is ideal about this is for Sunday hours they can be completely different to those within a work week.
Most online map systems will give users the coordinates. We recommend using Google Maps which will pinpoint and give the most accurate GPS locations.
The best way to disable a collection point is to set all timings to 00:00:00 which will in turn ensure the collection point is no longer active.

How To Use The Export & Import Methods

Collection Points can also be set and updated by using our purpose built CSV export and import methods shown here. The best way to update existing Collection Points is to first run an export which will generate the CSV giving you the "Collection Point ID" needed to update existing Collection Points, this needs to be left blank if your planning to add a new one.

Regarding the export/import method this will allow you to update collection points on mass via a CSV. To do so simply run the export option which is the arrow out of the system which will generate the CSV. This will contain a row per collection point which will include an ID which can be used when importing to update Collection Points on mass. Once a file has been updated, simply click the arrow into the system and update the Collection Points.
A blank export that can be used to generate a brand new collection point has been attached to this article.
