CPP | Getting Started Guide | Section 4: Product Manager

4.1 What is Product Manager?

The Product Manager 'houses' the products on CPP, along with all associated product data. As a User of the platform, you will be able to see all of your own Products, along with any others that you have been granted access to (eg a Suppliers product range). Product Manager has 3 primary sections; 1. Product List, 2. Search Menu and 3. Action Buttons.

4.2 Product List

By default, the Product List displays an unfiltered list of all Products that you currently have access to on CPP. As the name suggests, these are presented in a list format with a small preview thumbnail and several columns of key product details that can be used as identifiers;

A. Thumbnail - Thumbnail preview of the product
B. ID - The Unique Product ID as generated by CPP
C. SKU - The supplier SKU / Retailer SKU
D. Name - The name of the product on CPP
E. Supplier - The Supplier of your product
F. Locked - Displays 'Lock' status
G. Actions - On mouse over, displays Action Options available for each product (currently Edit only).

4.2.1 Product List Display Options

It is possible to change how the Products are listed using the following options:

A. Image Size: None / Small / Large - List the Products as just text / with small thumbnail previews / with large thumbnail previews.

B. Per Page - Set the number of products that you want to display in the list per page from 25 - 500.

4.3 Search Menu

The Search Menu offers input fields and criteria filters so that you can easily find Products on the platform;

A. ID, Name or SKU - Search by any of the key product identifiers
B. Category - Target a specific Category Folder on CPP to display products contained within it
C. Supplier - Filter by Supplier set against the Products
D. Dimension - Filter by 2d, 3d or both Products options
‚ÄčE. Advanced - This allows you to refine your search even further, to filter between the variable Product Types available / Aspect Ratio / Creation Date and Sales Percentile.

4.4 Action Buttons

Action Buttons offer a range of different functions related products / data in CPP.

Imports - Import various data sets to update your products on CPP in bulk, including: Variants / eCom Data / Pricing / Attributes / Field Mapping

Exports - Export various data sets to extract product information from CPP. This is a good way to get the correct format if you are planning to re-import data.

Feeds - Export products in a variety of formats ready for importing to websites or marketplaces: Amazon / Retailer / Magento / Ebay / Shopblocks

Create Product - Add a new Blank Product to CPP (relevant to Suppliers)

4.5 Bulk Action

Within the Product List, the tick boxes can be used to make one or multiple Products an active selection. Once selected, the Bulk Action feature becomes available, which offers several options relating to the active products:

A. Multi Edit - Cycle through and amend all selected Products in sequence. This means you can update multiple products without the need to have multiple tabs open simultaneously. The system offers 'Next' and 'Previous' buttons to facilitate quick product changes.

B. Add to Categories - This allows you to add the Product to appear in multiple categories simultaneously. Any updates to the product will be reflected in all locations.

C. Set Categories - Move the Product from its current category and place into another.

D. Create Virtual Products - Apply artwork designs and functionality configurations using the selected Blank Product/s as a 'Base'.

E. Place Order - Manually Place an Order against the product

F. Duplicate - Duplicates the selected Products and retains all setup options and information. Exclusive product access is required to do this to minimise unnecessary product duplications, and protect ownership rights.

G. Audit Data and send for VPW Approval - This is relevant for Suppliers looking to join the Virtual Product Warehouse. The Data Audit tool reviews product data / ecom information to determine whether the products are suitable for VPW consideration.

H. Lock - Locks the Product so that accidental changes cannot be made. Users are unable to Unlock once a Product has been locked.

I. Delete - Deletes the selected Products from CPP.

Important Note: Products should only be locked when configured and approved - only Custom Gateway staff have access to unlock products.
Critical: Delete with caution, there is no way to retrieve deleted products.
