Bad Word Sets in CPP

Bad Word Sets in CPP

A popular function of smartlink apps has been the ability to add in bad word sets which set up a blacklist of certain words that cannot be typed by a user.

These are particularly useful in instore settings and when selling licensed and branded products but can be used in any situation and most smarlink app layouts have support for this function.

You can manage your own bad word sets in CPP by accessing this under the "Settings" tab in the top right of CPP and selecting "Bad Word Sets"

On the screen above you can use the "New Set" button to set up a brand new word set or you Export / Import to use CSV files to manage your bad words sets. You can also click the pencil icon next to a current set to go into it and manually view and amend.

When creating or editing a bad word set in CPP it is split into 2 sections, "Basic" where you control the name which is called in smartlink configurations, and "Words" where you can add edit and remove individual words from the set.

Once you have created a bad words set you can take the "Ref" and apply this to smartlink configurations you create through the smartlink builder on apps which support this function. This will be available under an option called "Bad Word Set"
